Zellige Home Launches The Workshop, Bringing Bespoke Zellige Direct from Fez, Morocco

London, United Kingdom (30 September 2026) - Zellige Home has launched The Workshop, a new online experience that allows designers and architects to customise zellige mosaics, borders and hand-painted tiles and have them made to order by the family atelier in Fez, Morocco.
Family-owned since 1912, Zellige Home has built its business around the craft of making zellige. With The Workshop, that manufacturing process is opened up to the people specifying it: choose a pattern, customise the colours from a palette of 18 glazes, preview the design in a room setting, and order directly from the source.
"A designer would call and ask for a colour we did not stock, and the answer was a long email and a wait. Now they set the combination in front of their client, and the same hands that have cut zellige in Fez since 1912 make it for that project." Jared Bret Hansen, Zellige Home.
Made by hand, one tile at a time, each order is kiln-fired, hand-glazed and hand-cut in the family atelier before being shipped directly to the customer, with no importer or distributor in between.
Launched during Zellige Home's first year at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour alongside London Design Festival and Focus/26, The Workshop brings together centuries-old craftsmanship and contemporary technology to make bespoke zellige more accessible.

Zellige is a traditional Moroccan tile made from terracotta clay, then glazed, fired and cut by hand.
